It has been amazing to visit Cyprus for the first time. As it is getting colder and colder in the UK, I wanted to say goodbye to the summer by going on holidays to a warm place and Cyprus was a great choice.

I went to Paphos in the last week of September and it was quite hot for that time of the year in comparison to other places. The average temperature was 30 degrees and it was always sunny.

It is a great place to visit if you like nature. I really recommmend going to the Akamas Peninsula National Park. The landscape is beautiful and you can find beaches, falls, mountains, little towns, etc. As it is quite big and it is not easy to access by public transport, I recommend booking a day trip with an agency.

I went to Lara Bay which is well-known for the turtles. However, you won´t be able to see any turtles because they come out in the evening and that area is protected and closed during those times. I also visited the Baths of Aphrodite which was nice but smaller than I expected. And last but not least, I went to the Blue Lagoon which I think it was the best place from all of these three. The beach is so beautiful! Clear water, quiet place...it was like in paradise.

I can say that this is one of those places that took my heart!

Have you ever been to Paphos? What are your thoughts about it?
