Leeds Art Gallery - This museum has an art collection that belongs to the British 20th Century. It is a fantastic place to visit for those who love museums and especially contemporary art. In addition to this, the gallery is linked to Leeds Central Library with plenty of fantastic books to read in it or in the little cosy cafe inside the building.

Headrow House - If you are looking for a casual and weekend vibes, head off to Headrow House. You can chill in the rooftop terrace, take beautiful pictures and have a drink! Inside the Headrow House, it is the Ox Club where you can enjoy some brunch.

Kirkstall Abbey - It is definitely one of the most beautiful abbeys in the county of West Yorkshire. Kirkstall abbey is a ruined monastery founded in 1152 located in the neighbourhood of Kirkstall. It is amazing to walk around, sit and relax, do a picnic or just to contemplate the abbey and the river Aire. There are different events such as the outdoor markets where you can grab some local cheese and food or look for some hand-made crafts.

You don't want to miss out the opportunity to take the perfect picture in Kirkstall!

Roundhay Park - It is one of the biggest parks in Leeds and in Europe. If you love walking and exploring, you will love seeing the beautiful lake, the mansion, the castle and the different garden areas with many flowers blossoming in spring or leaves falling in autumn. When the weather allows it, there are lots of different events going on.

Victoria Leeds. This shopping centre is very modern as it was opened three years ago. You can find shops like Michael Kors and Molton Brown. Whether you like shopping or you want to have some food, it is a lovely place to go. Do you also fancy a cocktail in a terrace, why don´t you visit East 59th?

I would also recommend seeing the County Arcade for beautiful architecture and more shops.

Victoria Leeds

Royal Armouries. I highly recommend going to the Royal Armouries if you really love history and arms. There are four floors to see and enjoy their daily exhibitions. It is also a nice place to take pictures, walk around the Leeds Dock or take the water taxi.

Millennium Square. This square is located behind the Leeds Art Gallery. In Millennium you can visit Leeds City Museum to find out everything about the history of Leeds, you can see the Mandela Gardens where you can see the bronze sculpture "Both Arms" dedicated to Nelson Mandela on a visit to Leeds in 2001 or just enjoy being sat down outside having a drink when it is sunny.

In addition to this, there are many events going on such as concerts, food events, Christmas markets in winter and much more!

Harewood House. Leeds has many activities to offer and to experience the city life, however, if you want to go a bit away from the busy city, head off to Harewood House. It is only 30 min if you take 36 bus to Harewood from Leeds bus station which runs every 15 minutes.

It is worth it to visit and immerse yourself in it! In this beautiful house you can find Renaissance masterpieces, fine collections from China among other pieces of art and architecture.

However, if you´d prefer to be outside, visit the gardens with over 100 acres of ground and flowers from different parts of the world or the farm.

Corn Exchange. It is a beautiful Victorian building located in Leeds city centre close to the Market. It is not only impressive to see from outside but also from inside. Inside the building you can find small boutiques and cafes ran by independent designer-makers and specialist retailers. Leeds Art Gallery. Este museo tiene una colección de arte que pertenece al siglo 20 y es un lugar estupendo para aquellos que les guste los museos y, especialmente, el arte contemporáneo. Además, esta galería de arte está conectada con la biblioteca principal llena de fantásticos libros para leer dentro de la cafetería de la biblioteca.

Headrow House. Si estás buscando algún sitio para disfrutar del fin de semana, ve a Headrow House donde puedes tomarte algo en la terraza, sacarte algunas fotos y disfrutar del ambiente. Dentro del edificio también se encuentra el restaurante Ox Club donde puedes recargar las fuerzas con sus desayunos o almuerzos.

Kirkstall Abbey. Es una de las abadías más bonitas de la región de West Yorkshire. Esta abadía es un monasterio en ruinas que fue fundado en 1152 y que se encuentra en el barrio de Kirkstall. Es un lugar idóneo para caminar, relajarte, hacer un picnic o contemplar las vistas de la abadía y el río Aire. Durante los fines de semanas puedes encontrarte el mercado artesanal donde puedes comprar un montón de objetos artesanales o productos regionales.

¡No te puedes perder la oportunidad de sacarte una foto en este lugar!

Roundhay Park. Es uno de los parques más grandes de Europa. Si te gusta caminar y explorar, te encantará ver el lago, la mansión, el castillo y los jardines llenos de flores en primavera y llenos de hojas durante el otoño. Cuando hace buen tiempo, suele haber distintos eventos.

Victoria Leeds. Este centro comercial es muy moderno ya que abrió hace tres años. En él puedes encontrarte tiendas como Michael Kors y Molton Brown. Si te gusta ir de compras es tu sitio ideal, sin embargo, si prefieres comer fuera, también es una buena opción. ¿Quieres tomarte un cocktail? Ve al restaurante East 59th.

Aparte de Victoria Leeds, también recomiendo visitar el County Arcade para más tiendas y más estructuras impresionantes.

Royal Armouries. Si te gustan la historia de las armas, Royal Armouries es tu lugar. Tiene cuatro plantas llenas de armas donde puedes ver distintas exhibiciones todos los días. Además es un lugar idóneo para sacar fotos, caminar por el canal o coger el pequeño barco “taxi”.

Millennium Square. Esta plaza se encuentra detrás de la galería de arte. En Millennium puedes visitar el museo de Leeds para aprender más sobre la historia de Leeds o puedes ver los jardínes de Mandela. En él se encuentra una escultura de bronce dedicada a Nelson Mandela cuando visitó Leeds en 2001. También si hace un buen día, puedes sentarte en uno de los bares en la plaza.

Además, en esta plaza siempre hay eventos como conciertos, festivales de comida, mercados de navidad, etc.

Harewood House. En Leeds puedes hacer gran variedad de actividades, sin embargo, si quieres alejarte del ambiente de la ciudad, te recomiendo visitar Harewood House. Se encuentra tan solo a 30 minutos en autobús y los autobuses pasan cada 15 minutos desde la estación.

Merece la pena visitar la casa donde encuentras arte del Renacimiento, joyas y colecciones de China y otras piezas de arte. Sin embargo, si prefieres estar al aire libre, puedes ver los jardines con más de 100 acres de terreno y flores de distintas partes del mundo o visitar la granja.

Corn Exchange. Es un bonito edificio de la era victoriana situado en el centro de Leeds cerca del mercado. No solo tiene una estructura impresionante por fuera, si no por dentro también. Dentro de este edificio puedes encontrarte pequeñas boutiques y cafeterías independientes.
